A Better Controller Experience: More Control, More Comfort

January 22, 2026
We have rolled out an improved controller mode for GameAgora.

The joystick mode now supports both analog movement and button-based controls, giving players more flexibility in how they play. Some people prefer smooth continuous motion while others want precise taps. Now both styles work seamlessly.

Additionally, to make things feel even more natural, we have also added support for landscape mode.  This makes the controller more comfortable, more familiar and easier to use in fast-paced games like tank and football.

Earlier, we had also introduced neighborhood mode, which provides an ego-centric view of the character being controlled. This is especially useful if the player's view to the main screen is obstructed, perhaps by passerbys.

These changes are part of an ongoing focus on reducing friction and improving playability in the real-world, shared environments. When controls feel intuitive, people stick around longer, which is exactly what public-space gaming needs.

As always, more refinements are coming. We are committed towards continuous improvement!
